Naturalistic roof deck

“We want to bring a sense of nature to our roof.’ was the first request from the client. We were happy to take this on.
A minimal ipe platform deck rests on steel beams. With floating stairs, it seems to hover.
Ipe planter boxes gave green to the perimeter and custom built seating with hidden storage helped to maximize the small space.
Roses, blueberry bushes, grasses and native flowering plants frame the Manhattan skyline.
